this is florida's 'state butterfly', the Zebra Longwing/Heliconius charithonia
in our front yard.

ReplyDeleteIn fact we hardly ever even see common butterflies now that there's been so much spraying for mosquitoes that might carry West Nile virus. Of course that's just a coincidence. We all know that spray only kills mosquitoes--not bees, not butterflies, not ......
