some little things in nature...

well, i was supposed to have a massage appointment this morn, but as it turned out...my client had to reschedule. so with a pot roast already in the slow cooker...errands done...a load of laundry in the washer...dishes cleaned and drying in the drainer...i thought i'd post a few pictures i've taken over this past week.



this first one is for all you 'frogoholics' out there...ribbet!  ((afterthought: TOAD, not frog! if you want more info on these southern critters, go here))

sam came running to get me when he saw this snake in the side yard. unfortunately, by the time i grabbed the camera and got out there...it was already seeking refuge...

and here's another STICK BUG i spotted on the front porch. in fact, i had JUST said to sam...i wish i'd see another stick bug...i haven't gotten a picture of one in a while...i turned around...and there he was!!

  16. This is a great blog. I live in northern NY and often walk along trails, taking in whatever catches my eyes. It's funny my friends and I have recently begun trail-walking together. Both being gamers, we couldn't help but remark that it's so much more rewarding to actually explore the nature God created than some 1s and 0s organized by some programmer into an artificial world. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy video games, but I just appreciate nature much more.

Thomas! thanks for stopping by...yeah, it's so much nicer to be outside...in the real world than the fantasy world of games...but, hey...it's kinda cool all the worlds you can explore that way too! it's unfortunate that so many people get so caught up in the games...and spend most time indoors...anyway...glad you found me here and can find & appreciate the 'wonder' of nature! :]

  18. Way to go on getting so much done AND posting on your blog. After a busy morning I managed to get nothing done in the house as well as post nothing for the last couple days. BUT I did make it to the beach with the kids, so all in all, a most successful day as we were out in nature. :)
