who tends to be a scatter-brain.
(at times)
i'm not a hoarder...i'm a collector.
this past week i took so many pictures of squirrels,
i couldn't decide if i should climb a tree,
stick my head in the bird feeder
or squat & bury some acorns!
it took me so long to pick out a few squirrel pictures...
i didn't have time to do any of that.
my favorite...
i had to 'morph' this guy.
here he is in 'emboss' mode...
and now...what would a blog post about squirrels be, without squirrel bones.
well, yes, i do have squirrel bones, but decided to just go with the skull.

ReplyDeleteloved the squirrel and his incognito morph, too. gray squirrels are so much slimmer than our fox squirrels and have such long ears, too!
Squirrels make me angry.. for one thing they do hog the bird seed.. I've got one squirrel that literally scares off the finches, mourning doves, sparrows... Another hoarder are Blue Jays.. yep, I fight and defend for the smaller birds! who else is going to defend them?
ReplyDeleteyes! i know what u mean. we have soooo many squirrels running around. even with 2 cats, they find their way in the feeder...and they love to eat the bromeliads!
Delete(they do make those feeders that squirrels can't get in to. a friend of mine has one & it does work) the squirrels are just being...well...squirrels! if the birds are eating out in the wild & fending for themselves...probably the squirrels don't chase them away. but with the feeders out there...it's just too tempting for them to ignore. :)

ReplyDeleteI love these! You will surely know that we don't have squirrels in this country, so I don't see them as pests - some people do I know. They are so clever and agile and funny - particularly like numbers 4 and 5, but the others are great too. The top view of the skull is rather freaky!!
ReplyDeleteyes! the squirrels are like little acrobats!! fun to watch! but they can be on the 'pesty' side too...raiding bird feeders & eating plants. they love my bromeliads!! :)

Surprisingly, we don't have any squirrels in our neighborhood. Never have for 20 years. We've got everything else though. Sometimes when I let the dog out, it looks like something out of a Disney movie out there; with rabbits and birds and various other creatures. And my dog sits in the middle like Snow White.
