((6:26 am - (this was a (pre-) scheduled post (5:30 am)...and i just wanted to say
as i woke up this morning and turned the news on...i was shocked and saddened
at the horrific tragedy that took place in a theater outside Denver, Colorado during the night.
my heart goes out to all the family & friends who were involved in this incident.))
Oh after reading your post note I am also horrified at this tragedy my heart goes out to all. B
ReplyDeleteI should say I just turned the news on to see what you were talking about. A very sad day. B
ReplyDeleteoh, no! i just opened msn.com to see that headline! how terrible!
ReplyDeletei do like your skittering deer image, however...
That's the best kind of congestion. Way to be there with your camera.
ReplyDeleteyou must have been fast as lightening with your camera to get that shot. Excellent work

First off I really love your picture - well done it can't have been to catch the deer running.
ReplyDeleteI have just seen this on the news here in Scotland - totally shocking. My thoughts go to all of the victims.
If that's "congested"... beautiful creature.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, it's impossible to express how one feels about these incidents. They reverberate around the world and each one strips another little bit of humanity from all of us.
Arohanui.
Hiya stranger!!! What a nice fun shot!!! Love the sign and deer. Funny and cool. Nice happy feelings for a sad day! Talk to you soon. Chris
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm taking a psychology of violence seminary. We are currently studying serial killers and mass murderers, I swear that regardless of how much evidence and explanations and studies and... well, whatever, I just can't understand why some people break the way the do and cause so much destruction.
ReplyDeleteI pray for the souls of the victims and their families.
Thanks for the beautiful picture. It reminds me that even in the middle of the ugly, there are rays of furry sunshine ;-)
I know it's certainly a dark day....but your photo brings much joy and hope.
ReplyDeleteA great shot Laura...even in flight, deer are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the matter with people? Why would one person set out to cause such a tragedy? I'm starting to think that suicide is a better solution for people like this guy! Why didn't he just off himself? As you, my heart goes out for the victims and their families.
See you soon Laura! xxoo
thanks susan...yeah, my thoughts too...WHY?? what makes a person DO such things>>?? WHY???!!!!
DeletePerfect shot with the sign and all, too.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch the news, but I even heard about this tragedy. Why? What drives people to do things like this? I'll never understand it. Prayers for all the people involved.
exactly...all i keep thinking is WHY????
DeleteNeat. I was camping down at Gulf Shores State Park for a couple of days last week, but only saw birds, bugs, and fish.
ReplyDeletebirds, bugs and fish...better than NO birds, bugs & fish! ha!
DeleteGreat photo . . .
ReplyDeleteSuperb.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura -- Love the way you got the motion of that deer as she ran!
ReplyDeleteI always feel kind of funny posting my happy little posts when there's news like that from Aurora, so frightening...I usually don't say anything because I never really know what TO say (whether I'm talking or writing). I'm glad you did acknowledge the way we all feel.
Love the deer blatantly ignoring the sign ;D)
ReplyDeletethanks everybody!!!!! life happens. gets hectic...time permitting...i try to 'reply or comment back'...but when i get busy...no time...BUT KNOW that i ALWAYS appreciate your thoughts...even if you just LOOK and don't comment.
