we took a ride over there...to see if we could put the boat in...but the water is SOOOOOO low, which is kind of surprising with all the rain we've been having! it's hard to imagine that the water was even LOWER than it is now!!
Hi Laura...How lucky is that to get two Eagles in on shot...I have seen a lot of them over the years, but never got a photo let alone a two for one! ; }} Have a great one!! Grace
OH yeah...i was pretty lucky! it's a good thing we have the digital cameras now...because you can just snap away...and it doesn't cost anything to develop the film...just delete the bad ones! the pictures i took were from our boat...in the water...not an easy task! :)
THANKS rita!! had a good weekend...just too busy...went too fast...and today i MUST try to get caught up with some blog reading, so what else is new!?? ha!
ha! THANKS magaly. i screamed a little too...when i saw the eagles flying around...and then just sitting there...pleading to have their picture taken! :)
Awesome! I was camping at Gulf Shores State Park for two nights. Saw what was either an osprey or a juvenile Bald Eagle (bad eyesight, no binocs and driving the car). There is one nest near the camping area. Also saw a few nesting platforms that are not occupied.
Thanks JP! being on the lake...and the trees lining the shore...it is possible to get pretty close, as long as they don't get scared away. my camera is not a REALLY good one. i mean it's not one of those cameras with interchangeable zoom lenses or anything like that. it's a canon powershot 10x zoom. if you're looking for a camera...this is the best camera of this type i've ever had!! i LOVE it!!
I'm blown away by your pictures tonight. These bald eagles are awesome. Where in the world did you find them? You are so fortunate to have them around you. They are coming back.....but in Arizona, they are around water and in Tucson, we are a bit short on that commodity:)
Beautiful Eagles shot, and I love your header.
